i am trying to write a research paper for school on sol hoopii, am having a hard time finding much history about him, any help is greatly appriciated--- mahalo, jason

Hai Jason not much i know about hawaiian music,but sol hoppi is a hero for my Grand dad George de.Fretes.And a hero for for him must be the Killer ones.I'm sure he is great..and He is the root:)

Sol Ho'opi'i was one of the foremost Hawaiian steel guitar artists of his day. For more information, go to the HSGA website: hawaiiansteelguitar.org. Call a musical instrument store and ask if they have Lorene Ruymar's book "Hawaiian Steel Guitar and its Great Hawaiian musicians".
