I would like some assistance.I am looking for any help in locating recordings featuring Hawaiian steel guitar hall of fame member Freddie Tavares.I know the Hukilau Hulas has been reissued but is there more. Even the original member line up of the Harry Owens Royal Hawaiian Band Freddie and his wife were close dear friends of mine for a number of years, we worked together and he "adopted" me as his son. I would dearly like to have some of his old music. Thanks for any assistance |

Dear Mr. Zimmerman, I just came across the message of what you are looking for. I don't have recordings, but in 2006 I was doing history research to the steel players who are also members of the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in St. Louis, Missouri. In doing this I met a Mr. Mike Elliott of Buckinghamshire, England. His neighbor, Lorraine Lewin is an advid fan of the steel and players. They had sent me photos of Freddie Tavares. They may know of where you can find recordings.
